G5 Interview : Pol “Dancer” Tumalaytay

Another week, another interview. This time, its with our very own Pol “Dancer” Tumalaytay!

Q: Describe yourself in three words

Q: Your favourite all time film?
Zoolander. BLUE STEEL is the essence of being an act natural Panda. That or City of God.

Q: You’re marooned on a desert island, what 3 essential items would you take with you?
A football, my phone and and endless supply of food.

Q: If you could be a famous Superhero, who would you be and why?
I know it was a crap film and they’re technically not superheroes, but the people from “Jumper”. Amazeballs!

Q: What was your first job?
UGC Cinemas, the source of my popcorn fetish 😀

Q: What song do you secretly like but too embarrassed to admit?
Apart from call me maybe, “Breaking Free” from high school musical. Sorry, but it’s a tuuune!

Q: How did you first join the Pandas? How did you find us?
Wai-Kuen charmed me with compliments, then Vo chirpsed me at a clubbing night…

Q: How did find your first training session?
Tiring and achey, though the sleep after was the best sleep I had for ages. I was sold!

Q: How is your technique coming along?
It seems to change with every stroke, I need to sort out my footing and stick to one way of doing things…

Q: …had your first dunk? When is your birthday?
Nope, and never will… (My bday is in the off season… December baby!)

Q: Why do you want to paddle for the Windy Pandas? What are your goals and objectives?
Because I wanted to be good-looking and red suits me more than black… But seriously, the people are cool and the training is progressive. Objectives would be to continue improving, hard work pays dividends 😀

Q: The squad is getting bigger every year, why do you think other people want to join WP?
Because we all have lots of friends cos we’re all amazing people! Good news travels fast…

Q: What are you going to bring to the Windy Pandas in 2012?
Inappropriate jokes and awkward humour.

Q: What is your WP nickname come from or has any special meaning? If not, any suggestions?
“Dancer”. I’m just relieved it’s not “Alan Lam is amazing”. (No offence Alam)

Q: If a film was about your life, which famous actor would play you and why?
Ben Stiller. Only he can pull off magnum like I can…
