Q: How did you find out about the Windy Pandas and who/what made you join the team?
A: Alam
Q: How is your experience so far? Is it what you expected? or not at all…
A: It’s sort of what I expected having known alam been doing this a long time and telling me a lot about the team and what happens. I’be enjoyed the workout it gives me and never expected I’d be able to race after 4/5 sessions which I felt was quite an achievement!
I didn’t realise though how much stamina needed – must learn to work on this!
Q: What are your goals/objectives with joining the Windy’s?
A: Do more physical activity and make some friends 😉
Q: What are your likes and dislikes about Dragon Boating??
A: Like the ability to enjoy the sunshine and workout at the same time.
Can’t think of any dislikes… waking up early to get there?! lol
Q: How is your technique coming along?
A: OK I think..?
Q: What are your fondest memory so far? Any interesting stories to tell?
A: Winning gold at the charity race. I don’t think I’ve gone out enough for many stories, must maybe try work on this 🙂
Q: Who’s your favourite Panda whom you didn’t know before you joined the team and why?
A: Cheryl she’s really nice and easy to talk to. Vo is also a funny panda who encouraged me to race, helped with my technique and easy to talk to.
Q: Any advice for those that are looking to take up the sport?
A: Don’t underestimate the physical workout and enjoy the team spirit.
Q: Moving onto other topic, name me three things you can not live without and why?
A: Phone – it’s gor everything saved on there
Food – I love it too much to give up even though I’m trying to lose weight ;p
Car – I dislike public transport (prefer being driven though)
Q: Tell us something that your mum doesn’t know?
A: there’s lots!haha
That I failed a year of college and uni lol
Q: What three words will your best friend have to say about you?
A: Energetic, caring, sarcastic
Q: What did you grow up wanting to be? Your childhood dreams and ambitions?
A: Lawyer but this was prob more what my family wanted from me – I’d rather be a millionaire traveller 😉
Q: Your favourite cartoon is?
A: can’t remember cartoons, I’d probably say Dexter’s lavatory maybe but if it’s for more grown up audience it would be family guy.
Q: What are your best and worst subjects at school?
A: Graphics – easy
French – hated my teacher
Q: What’s the best/worst practical joke anyone’s ever played on you? And vice versa?
A: can’t think…
